Warning-- a rant with some foul language.

Somebody PLEASE explain to me how a rapist can still play football-- in the Super Bowl of all things, and a teacher in WV can't afford to feed her kids??

A teacher, who sacrifices EVERYTHING for other people's kids has to depend on food stamps, public assistance, lives pay check to pay check and this piece of shit celebrity can rape women and get paid MILLIONS of dollars to do so???

What kind of world do we live in where the very people who teach us and shape our minds are barely making it??

Why am I even bothering to do this?  Why go into a field where I know I'll never make enough money to pay off my student loans, pay my bills, etc...?

I am so fucking sick of this.  I just want to understand why we put so much value on sports players, but so little on our educators?

I mean... I 'm just so...

I had a great talk with some teachers today at my school... and I left more disappointed than ever.  I'm seriously disgusted and fucking pissed off and just wish that things would change.

For the love of God.  I'm going to get my god damn PHD and be the best fucking reformer this state has seen.

Teachers make a difference.

I'm just one piss of a person, but I will fight till I die until SOMETHING FUCKING CHANGES.

Decisions, decisions...

Lens Shot Photography is currently just a on-location service, going to clients homes, outdoor locations, etc...  but we are really thinking about what we should do.

My current situation doesn't provide me with the finances to rent out a studio space.  Do I need a studio now, or should it be something I work towards?  There are many photographers that only work from studios, whereas I feel like I do quality, just as good work, without the aid of one.

I'm so close to the end of grad school... with no teaching jobs in sight.  Working so hard with no hope of a job in the immediate future.  My photography is my life!  I hope that after school is finished I can truly devote more time to seeing the world and it's beauty once again through my lenses.

In other news:  Check us out!  My first ever solo gallery exhibit opens February 1st, 2011 at the Star Gallery in Frostburg, MD.  So excited!

Any suggestions would be lovely... I am NOT a graphic designer and this took me entirely too long in PS to do. LOL. Was worth it though, I'm happy with the results.

Is it odd?

Is it odd that I think knitting has saved my life?

When I knit I am : Less stressed, less worried. Happier, cheerful, fun to be around, have a sense of humor.

It makes me want to be more creative.

Knitting is a great stress reliever.

Sure my hands hurt sometimes, but it's like a great work out... I'm building up my muscles. And besides, with my illness, any use I can still get out of my hands the better.

In other words: Knitting and yarn work has really changed my attitude and my life.
